Rolled 1000 kms over the weekend - great ride - coming home I thought it would be time to clean up the bug juices so I took my Savage to a pressure wash station - managed to get water down around the spark plug - my advice is - keep the pressure washer away from that machine - what a chore to pull the seat, tank etc to get to the Spark [lug ( which by the way is buried deep in the engine - no idea how the grunge around the plug is supposed to be cleaned out- )
Object lesson for me - I brought the bike home on a truck and spent the morning tearing it apart- learned lots about the bike and found one cut wire which when repaired returned the neutral light to service - cut by the tank mount!
Great weekend of riding = downer on the failure to start and truck ride home - but great learning this morning finding out the secrets of the fantastic engine

Lesson? - if I wash it again - keep that hose off the top end of the engine
